Lunch on Baja

To cheer me up, and encourage me not to give up on FF, and not change my name, Baja gifted me with some McDonald's certificates. So, I figured this the perfect excuse to have one of the new Premium Select chicken sandwiches at MCD.

My pick? The Premium Select BLT Ranch Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It scores a 9 out of a possible 10. Here's why...

2 for a wholesome wheat hoagie bun
2 for swiss cheese instead of McFish cheese (swiss at McD's?!)
1 for nice green lettuce
-1 for skimping on the lettuce
1 for a big fat tomato
-1 for the tomato not being absolutely fresh (I'm Pick E.)
3 for succulent crispy chicken - not dry at all
1 for not forgetting to put ranch on my sandwich
-1 for using low-fat ranch (I'm no fool)
2 for packaging

The crispy chicken and grilled chicken have their own special boxes. Mine featured a rockin' guy on the inside. This made it unboring when I used that side to squirt my ketchup in for my fries. See, I didn't notice the picture until after I'd dispensed the catsup. So, he was revealed a little more each time I dipped a fry! Rock on!

Next? The Premium Select Club Grilled Chicken Sandwich

Review

Dear Back Yard Blogger:

Can I request a review? Some really good websites I know allow you to request a review of certain things. I would love it if, in the spirit of your blog's theme, you would review the new Chicken Fries from Burger King that're being advertised all over the airwaves. I am intrigued in them, but I'm not sure I want to venture a taste without hearing an expert opinion first. Dearest Back Yard Blogger, can you help me??

Sincerely,
Greg

America's Roast Beef, yes sir

In the spirit of Greg's request, could you tell us more about the seemingly limitless menu now offered at Arby's?

As Kenan will tell you, I have a love/hate thing with Arby's that dates back to jamocha shakes, potato wedges, and "horsey" sauce, right on the table.

Much obliged -

Chris M.
